Your Self Improvement Is Your Responsibility

November 9th, 2008

There is an important thing you must understand if you are to improve your life: your self improvement is your responsibility. It’s easy to blame other people or the environment when something goes wrong in your life, but that’s not the right thing to do. It is you and only who determines whether or not your life improves. If you decide that you want to improve and take the necessary actions, then you will improve. Otherwise you will stagnate and there’s nothing other people can do about it. It’s as simple as that.

Taking responsibility for your life means that when something goes wrong you can’t blame other people. While it’s true that external factors play a role on things that happen in your life, at the end it’s you who determine how you are going to respond to them. Perhaps you can’t control external events but you can always control your responses to them. You are responsible for your responses for every situation you face. No external factor can affect you negatively unless your responses open the way for that.

Once you understand this, you are on the right track for self improvement. You can then start working on improving your life as it should be.
