Do You Have a Balanced Life?
While talking about self improvement, there is the danger of emphasizing just a few aspects of it at the expense of others. For example, some people may emphasize more on the financial aspect at the expense of relationships aspect. Some other people may emphasize more on the relationships aspect at the expense of the health aspect. Whatever it is, unbalanced view of self improvement is dangerous because it can lead you to having an unbalanced life.
What you need to have above anything else is balance. There’s no way you can have a healthy growth in your personal development if your life is not balanced. While in the short term it may seem that you improve in your life, in the long term the unbalance will cause you to suffer. That’s why you need to pay special attention to the balance of your life from the very beginning before it’s too late.
To have a balanced life, you need to identify the important aspects of your life. List them all. The main ones are your finance which includes your career, your health, and your relationships. Of course, there could be other aspects but these are what I have in mind right now. Next, you should find the aspects in which you lack and put special effort to improve yourself there. By doing this continuously it’s likely that you will have a balanced life.
