Prepare Yourself for 2009

We have now been at the end of 2008 and soon we will enter 2009. To make 2009 your best year ever, you should make the necessary preparation. Without proper preparation, it is unlikely that you will have 2009 as good as you want it to be.

For the preparation, first of all you should review how you did in 2008. Is there anything you can improve? Are there bad things you should avoid? Are there lessons you can apply? Don’t let 2008 pass by without giving you the necessary equipment to thrive in 2009.

Next, you should look at your life purpose and dream. What do you want to achieve in the long term? What dreams do you want to accomplish? Having your life purpose and long term vision clear will help you direct your steps in 2009. If you don’t look at your long term goals, you could do the wrong things in 2009 that takes you to the wrong direction.

After looking at your long term goals and things you learned in 2008, you have the necessary things to prepare yourself for 2009. 2009 might not be a perfect year, but it could be a much better year for you.

Habits: Your Foundation for Self Improvement

There is no shortcut to self improvement. To improve yourself, you must do positive things consistently over long time. That’s why habits are very important. The habits you have in your life will make or break your life. If you have good habits, you will have a good and winning life. On the other hand, bad habits will drag your life down in the long term.

If you want to have a winning life, you should focus on breaking bad habits and building positive ones. Try to identify the bad habits in your life. Sometimes we aren’t aware of the bad habits we have and we need other people to point them out to us. So it’s a good idea to ask your close friends about what they think can be changed from you.

You must also identify the habits that will bring the most positive impact to your life. For example, exercising habit is a habit that will give you long term benefit in your health. Identify such habits and start working to build them. Of course, it would be difficult to work on too many habits at once. So, to increase your chance of success, working on one habit at a time is a good idea.
