A Key Element of Growth: The Desire to Learn

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

If you want to have strong growth in your life, there is one essential thing you must have: the desire to learn. Only by having the desire to learn can you get the most out of your experiences and consequently grow yourself. If you don’t have the desire to learn, most likely you will just go through your life as it is without trying to get the most out of it.

The next question then is how to build the desire to learn. I think first of all you should have a goal you want to achieve. If you don’t have a goal, you will easily be satisfied with your current condition. In such situation, it could be difficult to find reasons to grow let alone to have the drive to be your best. You need to have a goal first.

After you find your goal, you will see the difference between where you are right now and where you want to be. Being aware of this difference will motivate you to do what it takes to move to your goal.
